The successful candidate will be coordinating a new RWI pilot project in Türkiye designed to enhance the capacity of Türkiye’s public institutions to engage with the European Green Deal (EGD) and opportunities brought by EU- Türkiye trade, focusing on corporate sustainability and the social dimensions of the green transition.

About the position This full-time consultancy, based in Ankara from October 2025 to September 2026 (subject to funding), offers the opportunity to play a central role in advancing RWI’s work on Business and Human Rights in Türkiye. You will be responsible for planning and implementing programme activities, managing budgets and reporting, and ensuring that lessons learned continuously strengthen our work.
A key part of the role is to stay updated on developments in Türkiye and the EU–Türkiye trade context, and to share insights with colleagues and partners. You will build and maintain strong relationships with authorities, companies, civil society and donors, while also contributing to communication and outreach that raises awareness of RWI’s mission.
The position also provides space to identify new opportunities and shape proposals for future initiatives, working closely with RWI’s thematic experts in Lund. This is a chance to make a real impact in a dynamic context while contributing to the promotion of human rights and sustainable business practices.
Your profile We are looking for a candidate with at least five years of documented experience in programme management and human rights, ideally with a focus on business and human rights in the Türkiye context. You have strong knowledge of international human rights law, standards and mechanisms, supported by a relevant master’s degree, preferably with a specialization in human rights, law, international relations, European studies or a related field. Experience in corporate sustainability, the social dimensions of the green transition, Türkiye trade and/or EU affairs is considered an advantage, as is knowledge of methods and approaches in international development cooperation.
You are fluent in both Turkish and English, with excellent writing skills in English, and bring strong communication and interpersonal abilities. You are able to navigate complex political environments and manage sensitive relationships with ministries, companies and civil society. The role requires the ability to work under pressure and deliver within set timeframes.
